You have just under a month to stretch that stomach again after Christmas and get ready to sink your teeth into the Melbourne BBQ Festival. After last year's success, the festival will be back on Saturday February 6th for an entire day of meat sweats with BBQ food stalls, demonstrations, equipment and live entertainment.
The event will run from 10am to 10pm at Flemington Racecourse with tickets starting from $20 and kids under 16 free.
If you prefer a more intimate affair with your meat, Fancy Hanks BBQ Joint are holding a BBQ Festival dinner on the 4th February, featuring Chris Lilly of Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q and Fancy Hanks' own Mike Patrick.
Enjoy a four course sharing degustation of smoked meats, BBQ classics, Yak Ales and Pepperjack Wines for $95pp. Last year was a sell out so if you're mad keen for the BBQ, get in sooner than later.
