The talented team at Little Collins Street Kitchen have been working hard over the winter preparing a Spring version of their Parisian High Tea, freshly launched this month.
Already a popular choice for high tea in Melbourne, LCSK have embraced the slowly-but-surely warmer days with a menu featuring uplifting tastes of citrus, honey, orange and meringue, to name a few.
Diners are welcomed with a vibrant and refreshing watermelon Bellini for a sublime palate reset, along with a host of bottomless teas to accompany the selection of tasty sweet and savoury bites.
Nibble the afternoon away on the likes of a mini brioche buns with prawn, horseradish spread and purple cabbage slaw, kale and sundried tomatoes mini muffins with whipped feta and fresh oregano, and high-tea-savoury-staple egg, asparagus and dill mayo finger sandwiches.
On the sweeter side of Spring, think strawberry macaroons, pistachio honey and lemon financiers, and an exquisite mandarin curd and meringue tartlette with delicate sprinkles of crystallised ginger.
This Spring High Tea is also available gluten free, which I had the absolute pleasure of sampling earlier this month. Other sensitivities, intolerances and allergies are largely catered for, just mention your requirements when booking.
The dining experience at LCSK was designed around a homestyle kitchen table concept made to be surrounded by family and friends. It’s a bright, open and inviting space filled with soft natural light that fosters relaxed conversation and grounded connection, making it an ideal destination for intimate catch ups, special occasions or quite simply a great get together for groups.
Available daily from 1pm to 3pm, the Spring High Tea at Sheraton Hotel Melbourne is $59 Monday to Friday and $65 on weekends (10% surcharge applies on public holidays).
